During the operation of environmental sanitation water trucks, operators should master the correct operating procedures to achieve twice the result with half the effort.
1. When driving uphill, make reasonable use of high-speed momentum and shift gears timely. Avoid forcing high gears or rushing in low gears; climb slopes smoothly. When driving downhill, strictly prohibit high-speed driving or coasting with the engine off. Do not slide in neutral gear on steep slopes.
2. Drinking and driving is strictly prohibited. Smoking, eating, chatting, making phone calls, and using earphones are not allowed while driving.
3. When driving on rainy, snowy, muddy, or tar-surfaced roads, be cautious of slippery conditions. Maintain a speed no higher than 30 kilometers per hour, and do not coast in neutral gear. Maintain sufficient safe distances from pedestrians and vehicles. Avoid sudden acceleration and emergency braking. Use engine braking to decelerate in advance and prepare for stops. Strictly prohibited is emergency braking to prevent loss of control and potential accidents.
4. When driving, do not park under trees or near power poles during strong wind, thunderstorms, to avoid electric shock accidents.
5. Pay close attention to the vehicle's operating conditions, including safety-critical components such as braking, steering, trailer connection devices, and all lighting systems. In case of any malfunction during the journey, must pull over and inspect the vehicle immediately.
6. When driving in foggy conditions, turn on the fog lights, dim lights, and headlights, and frequently sound the horn. When visibility in thick fog is less than 50 meters, choose a safe location to stop. Do not attempt to drive under such conditions. Meanwhile, turn on the emergency warning switch so that both the left and right turn signals flash simultaneously.
7. Do not open the door until the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
8. When overtaking, always check for obstacles ahead and never force the overtaking. If a following vehicle wants to overtake, yield promptly and courteously.
