Product Description
A truck crane, also known as a boom truck crane, mobile truck crane, or truck-mounted crane, is a highly versatile lifting machine mounted on a truck carrier for enhanced mobility. It consists of two main components: the carrier (Lower) and the lifting mechanism (Upper), which includes the boom. These parts are connected via a turntable, enabling the upper to rotate side to side. Modern hydraulic truck cranes typically feature a single-engine design, powering both the undercarriage and the crane, with hydraulics routed through the turntable. Older models often used dual engines-one for driving and operating outriggers, and another for the crane's upper functions. While newer designs are efficient, some operators prefer older two-engine systems due to concerns about turntable seal leaks in aging single-engine models. Available in various configurations like telescopic straight booms, knuckle booms, and folding arm hydraulic lifts, truck cranes are ideal for diverse applications, from light-duty pickups to heavy-duty 6-wheelers, offering unmatched flexibility and performance.
